About Me

Hi everyone!  My name is Maureen and I am the dyer and creator of Charming Ewe Hand Dyed Yarns. I'm excited that you're here and I'm excited to be a part of this journey!

I, like many others am an avid knitter and recently started to crochet. Somewhere along the way, I saw a video of someone dyeing yarn and I wanted to give it a try. Long story short, here I am! Working in the corporate environment my entire career, I longed for creative outlets and knitting and crochet was one of those ways. My mother was an amazing artist and I was always in awe of how she could just pick up a brush, apply color to a blank canvas and create such beautiful paintings. My mother was my hero and I always wanted to be part of some creative expression because I wanted to be like her. When I started dyeing yarn, I felt like I found that creative expression I had been longing for! Through a lot of encouragement from my kids and some very special Indie Dyers, I decided to give it a go!
